Growing up in a military family on the move from coast to coast I remember my family always having a dog.  Looking back at my formative years I can see how my experiences and influences helped to imprint a love and respect for all animals.   

As an adult with a family of my own, Morgan Horses became an interest and quickly evolved into a family business with thirty years boarding, training of all breeds, and the raising of prized Morgan horses resulted in a rewarding lifestyle for all.  Our choice of herding dogs played an important role in the daily tasks.  Blue Heelers, Aussie's, Border Collie’s with an occasional herd savvy rescue thrown in made life a lot easier on the farm. 

As my nest emptied so did the need for herding dogs.  At long last I could have the dog I’d always longed for, a unique and elegant retired racing greyhound.  One led to five and I became involved with greyhound rescue and adoption. I soon realized the need for alternative boarding of these sensitive gentle sight hounds which inspired me to become their expert nanny.

My experiences, along with continued education, have proven to me that it is only by first understanding an animal’s instinctive needs that you can fulfill those needs, resulting in them living a content peaceful life.  It’s been a dream come true to be able to offer my time, education, experience and facility of a casual farm setting as an enriching alternative boarding choice for your furry family members.
